The Nigerian film industry has been plunged into mourning following the shocking death of popular actress, producer, and director, Allwell Ademola, who passed away at the age of 43.
News of her sudden demise on Saturday, December 27, 2025, sent shockwaves through Nollywood, sparking an outpouring of tributes from colleagues, fans, and filmmakers.
Veteran actress Faithia Williams confirmed the news in an emotional post, writing, “Haaaa. This hit me so bad. Eniobanke. Allahu Akbar… Allwell.”
Mide Martins, also grief-stricken, described Allwell as “playful, joyful, cheerful,” while praying for her soul’s rest.
Actor Damola Olatunji posted a symbolic candlelight image with the caption: “Life is a mirage.” Similarly, actress Bidemi Kosoko struggled to accept the loss, begging her to “say something please.”
Funke Akindele also expressed her grief over the loss, “Rest in peace Allwell. This is so sad. May the lord comfort her loved ones. Amen. It is well. Really sad.”
From directors to actors and content creators, industry players have praised Allwell’s versatility, kindness, and contributions to Nollywood.
Many recalled her impact behind and in front of the camera, describing her as a mentor, friend, and inspiration to rising talents.
