Nollywood actress Moyo Lawal has opened up about her personal life, disclosing that she engaged in intimate relations only twice in the year 2022.
Lawal’s revelation came in the wake of a controversial sex tape release, which she insists she did not authorize.
Taking to her Instagram page on a Sunday evening, Lawal shed light on the situation, explaining that the sex tape was released by her ex-boyfriend, not herself.
She expressed frustration over those who wrongly believed she had released the video voluntarily.
She stated,
“Until a lioness tells her story, every hunter will continue to be a hero. People always take quiet, non-problematic people as fools. However, I think it is time for me to start talking.”
She continued,
“One thing I can tell you for a fact is that things are never what they seem to be. I only had two intimate encounters last year, and one of those times is the video in question.”
Lawal went on to reveal the circumstances surrounding the video, saying,
“I agreed to it because he started recording after the fact. He doesn’t live in Nigeria, and he put in a lot of work winning my trust over the years, and I mean a lot. We were already working towards a house, marriage, and all. That’s why I had to break up with him last year when I started having communication challenges with him because I put my entire life on pause with any man I am dating.”
She concluded by emphasizing the sacrifices she had made, turning down dating offers and choosing to be alone for much of her adult life, only to have an unfortunate video from a time when she was unwell hanging over her head.
