Legendary Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt can no longer boast of having a ‘triple-treble’ after Nesta Carter, a member of the 4x100m relay team at the Beijing tested positive to banned substances.
The International Olympic Committee announced the decision moments ago.
The hearing was opened in November 2016 to discuss following a retests of 454 frozen blood and urine samples of Carter at the 2008 Games in China.
Bolt who in June last year revealed that he feared the worst to happen after Carter ‘s “A” sample contained methylhexanamine, a banned stimulant.
Affected in the medal strip off with Carter are Bolt and the two other team-mates of the Jamaican relay team at the Beijing Olympics.
