Ayinke Kujore, daughter of recently deceased Juju musician, Dayo Kujore, has registered her anger at the government and Nigerians for failing to honour his legacy.
While expressing her displeasure in a Facebook post, the late singer’s daughter said he used his musical talents to promote Nigerian cultures and unite Nigerians.
She further lamented that since his demise, no one came or write to sympathize with the family.
“It is sad, and bad as Nigeria and Nigerians dont value their own. An illustrious son who committed all his life for his country and his state, Ogun State. He used his musical talents to promote Nigeria cultures. He used his musical talent to unite Nigeria….Now in death, no one came or write to sypmphatise with us….Too bad. Rest in peace my Daddy, Wonder Dayo Kujore. If there is another time, I will still be your daughter. Cant imagine loosing my lovely Daddy, Idowu Adedayo Kujore sun re oo,” she wrote.
Recall that Kujore, one of the modern-day pioneers of Juju music in Nigeria, died at the age of 69 on Monday, January 10, 2022, at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, after a brief illness.
