By Nigeria’s D’Tigress defeats hosts, Mali to cruse into #Afrobasket2017 finals
Unsurprisingly Nigeria’s superb female basketball team, D’Tigress are in the finals of the ongoing Fiba Women’s Afrobasket 2017.

The Nigerian amazons gave a shocker to hosts, Mali at the fully packed Palais des Sports Salamatou Maiga Stadium to cruise into the final game against Senegal.
Although it was a close match with Nigeria winning by whiskers, the ladies were resolved as they took the lead from the beginning. The game ended 48-47 with Nigerian Point Guard, Ezinne Kalu walking away as the Player of the match.
Nigeria has not lost a game in their campaign towards winning the trophy. It would be recalled that D’Tigress defeated Senegal 58-54 in their last Group B game before beating fellow West Africans, Cote d’Ivoire 98 -43 in the quarter-finals.
