NIGERIA’S ASISAT BREAKS MULTIPLE RECORDS IN FEMALE FOOTBALL AS SHE PLAYS IN UEFA FINAL
Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala scored for Barcelona Ladies, even though it was not enough to prevent the Catalan club from going down 4-1 to Lyon in UEFA Women’s Champions League final played at Hungary’s capital Budapest on Saturday but it was enough to break and set new records.
The Super Falcons attacker was introduced as an 87th-minute substitute in Saturday’s final which made it her third appearance in the competition.
With this feat, Asisat Oshoala is now the first ever Nigerian/African player to score in a UEFA Champions League final game and first player to score for the Spanish side in a UEFA Champions league final.
