NIGERIANS’ REACTIONS TO OMO AGEGE’S EMERGENCE AS DEPUTY SENATE PRESIDENT
As at this time yesterday, it won’t be out of place to predict that today’s election of principal officers for the 9th National House of Assembly would be graced with intrigues.

Even though expected, the intrigues that panned out moments ago took another turn as a name associated with leading hoodlums in snatching the Maze which represents authority just last year is now named the Deputy Senate President of the newly constituted legislative arm.
This is more so when the new Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege took to his verified Twitter handle moments ago to send a clear message of triumph where he simply wrote “he my Jesus.”

However, since his emergence, reactions by Nigerians are currently making the rounds as some think Omo-Agege lacks the moral grounds to seat on such a pivotal position in the upper chambers.
Recall that BlackBox Nigeria had earlier reported that the senator who represents Delta Central defeated the outgoing deputy Senate-President Ike Ekweremadu to emerge winner in what will be the first time the progressive wing will be leading the upper chambers.
Omo-Agege polled 68 votes to Ekweremadu’s 37 to emerge victorious.
