Senator Ned Nwoko has broken his silence over the ongoing controversy surrounding his marriage to Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, revealing new details about her alleged struggles with drug and alcohol abuse.
In a post shared on his Instagram account, the Delta North Senator stated that Regina’s current behaviour is being fueled by her dependence on drugs and alcohol, which he described as the root of their marital problems.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety,” Nwoko wrote.
According to him, Regina had recently moved out of their home to a place where she allegedly has unrestricted access to drugs. He accused her of turning violent, claiming she assaulted three members of his staff within 48 hours and destroyed property, including cars and windows.
“I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence. Regina is the violent one here, slapping and hitting staff and destroying property for no just cause,” the senator added.
He also said he has set a clear condition for her to undergo rehabilitation either in Asokoro or outside Nigeria, particularly in Jordan, where she would not have access to drugs.
Nwoko further alleged that while he took their son, Moon, to the hospital, Regina threatened to kill their resident nurse for exposing her alleged drug abuse. He claimed that the chaos in his home was orchestrated by one Sammy, whom he described as Regina’s main drug supplier, and another person named Ann, whom he also accused of supplying drugs to the actress.
The public exchange between the couple comes shortly after a viral video surfaced online showing Regina Daniels lamenting about enduring violence in her marriage. In the video, she said, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my house, I am a queen. I can’t stand the violence anymore, it’s too much.”
The conflicting claims have sparked widespread reactions online, with fans and observers expressing concern over the couple’s situation.
