Nigerian Prisoner Takes Up Masters Degree Course To Battle Lapses In Court Judgement
Mr Jude Onwuzulike has taken the advantage of free Education by the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) to take up a Master’s Degree in Information Technology which he plans to use to counter his life sentence judgement.
Mr Onwuzulike while speaking with the Press on Monday, August 13th at the Awka Prisons, where he is serving a life sentence disclosed that he decided to take up the course so he can appeal the judgement that sent him to the prison after he discovered some lapses.
Onwuzulike who already has Degrees in Accounting and Mathematics added that the lapses in the investigation of his case needed to be checked with a proper forensic analysis.
He said, “My first degree was in accounting in 2005, while the second was in mathematics. When I came here, I did a post-graduate diploma in information technology and now, I’m doing a master’s degree in the same discipline.
“I noticed some lapses in the way the case that brought me here was investigated, which someone needs to correct. So, this course I’m studying will assist me to carry out forensic investigations in similar circumstances,” he said.
