Rising sensation, Ayra Starr solidified her place as a powerhouse in the industry, taking home Best Female Artist and Best Female Artist – Central/West Africa. Her dual wins highlight the growing influence of female voices in the Afrobeats and Afro-pop scenes.
Rap icon and music executive Olamide was awarded Album of the Year for his critically acclaimed project Ikigai Vol. 1, a testament to his enduring relevance and creativity in Nigeria’s evolving music landscape.
Veteran hitmaker D’Banj was honoured with the prestigious Legends Award, celebrating his decades-long contribution to the growth and global reach of African music.
In the genre categories, Wizkid and American R&B star Brent Faiyaz won Best Afro-R&B for their collaboration Piece of My Heart, while Davido and Chris Brown claimed Best Global Collaboration for their joint track Hmm.
Asake also secured a win, earning Best Afro-Native for MMS, featuring Wizkid.
British-Nigerian artiste Darkoo won Best Diasporan Act for her hit single Favourite Girl, which features a remix with Nigerian star Rema.
Grammy winner, Burna Boy was named Overall Male Artist in Africa, while South African singer Tyla won Overall Female Artist of the Year and Best Female Artist, Southern Africa.
Award winning artist, Tems was recognised as the Best Global African Female Artist, and rapper OdumoduBlvck earned the title of Best Rapper in West Africa.
