By Nigerian Law School Records Mass Failure, As 29 Get 1st Class
The Nigerian Law School has revealed that 1, 272 of its students, representing 21.6 per cent of those who participated in the final Bar examinations conducted in August, failed while 29 (0.5%) students were obtained first class.
The statistics are contained in the executive summary of the results of the Council of Legal Education which runs the NLS.
The document, which was signed by the Director-General of the NLS, Mr. Olanrewaju Onadeko (SAN), and released to journalists in Abuja on Saturday stated that 5,891 students participated in the examinations.
The statement also revealed that 211 of the students finished with Second class Upper (3.6%) while 1,046 made Second Class Lower (17.8%). A total of 2,999 students representing 50.9% finished with a Pass grade as 334 students got Conditional Pass grade.
