Nigerian football talents Victor Osimhen and Asisat Oshoala have earned nominations for the highly coveted 2023 Globe Soccer Awards.
Osimhen clinched the Emerging Player of the Year title at the 2022 edition.
The 24-year-old striker played a pivotal role in Napoli’s triumphant Serie A campaign last season, contributing significantly to their title success.
This year, Osimhen faces stiff competition for the prestigious award, with contenders including Nicolò Barella, Jude Bellingham, Karim Benzema, Yassine Bounou, Antoine Griezmann, Ilkay Gundogan, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Robert Lewandowski.

Asisat Oshoala, the Super Falcons star striker, has earned her first nomination for the Women’s Best Player award.
Oshoala’s stellar performance was showcased as part of the Barcelona Femeni squad that secured victory in the UEFA Women’s Champions League last season.
