Nigerian Entrepreneur, Nneka Buys Portuguese Football Club, Lusitano

Nigerian entrepreneur and sports enthusiast, Nneka Ede has purchased an European football club in Portugal, Lusitano Ginaso Clube Fotebol.

BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the deal was sealed earlier on Thursday after several weeks of negotiations between interested parties before Mrs Nneka finally won the bid in buying the club.

According to the official statement released by the club on Thursday, the club reached an agreement with Mrs Nneka after some months of negotiations and are happy with the outcome. It also added that she has become the first African woman to own an European football club and they are excited about the fact that she is a Nigerian, a country filled with people who are passionate and fiery about football which fortunately is same as Portugal.

Lusitano is a 106 years old club as it was founded in 1916, located in Vila de Santo Antonio, Portugal and currently plays in Campeonato de Portugal, the 3rd Division League of the country.
