11 suspects have been arrested by the General Commanding Officer, GOC, 81 Division over alleged Premium Motor Spirit theft. Blackboxnigeria gathered.
The suspects; Femi Mukaila, 43, Usman Abdulahi, 41, Yusuf Musa, 28, Usman Garuba, 30, Mudasiru Idris, 27, Ismail a Isa, 28, Samson Philips,23, Yusuf Rahaman, 35, and John Idris 20.
While speaking with one of the suspects; Oluwafemi Mukaila, stated that they were picked up from Ogere,area of Arepo ,in Ogun State.
“We were called upon to come and load Garri, on getting there we met fuel arranged inside Garri Sacks to really look like Garri.
“the people that contacted us didn’t explain to us very well but they told us to help them carry load from Agolo , which we negotiated N300 for each bag which they told us contains Garri ,but on getting there we discovered that was not Garri, but fuel which was inside sack inside nylons fixed inside the sack.
“so when we discovered it was not Garri, we got angry, but since we have already gone there we don’t have any option than to carry the fuel.
“We loaded two trucks and a bus.
“throughout our loading no food, no water, in fact we didn’t test anything.
“the moment we finished offloading, we stepped outside, only to see some soldiers, we even greeted them, only for them to tell us we are under arrest.
Blackboxnigeria learnt that there was a complain of illegal bunkery in Ogere ,Arepo, area of Ogun State, which actually coincides with the apprehension of the 11 suspects
