By NigeriaDecides2019: Violence Mar Elections In Okota As Electorate Stone Ballot Box Snatcher To Death (Videos)
Live videos reaching BlackBox Nigeria revealed that there was no peaceful elections in Okota area of Lagos as pockets of violence were reported in several Polling Units in the area.

BlackBox Nigeria reports that the violence broke out after thugs suspected to be OPC members in the area attempted to cart away ballot boxes but were given hot chase which resulted in stonning one of them to death. According to a video now making rounds online, one of the thugs was seen lying lifeless on the floor after the residents caught up with him while his cohorts ran away.

While BBN cannot confirm the group the thugs belong to nor represented while disrupting the election exercise, it was reported that the affected areas were strongholds of the main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party as similar pockets of violence were reported at Oshodi/Isolo area of the State, also among places the party usually record high number of votes.
As at the time of filing this report, the INEC is yet to give situation reports on the incidents, but observers are of the opinion that results won’t be recorded for affected areas.
