By Following negative comments which have continued to trail the just commenced Big Brother Nigeria holding in South Africa, producers of the show have come out with an explanation for taking it down South instead of Nigeria.
The BBNaija show which returned last night after a 10-year hiatus shocked many when it was discovered that it was being staged in South Africa, home country of DSTV and MultiChoice.
The development have however gotten a quick response from the producers who have come out to explain why the show is not been shot in Nigeria.
10years After, Big Brother Returns To Nigeria
In a tweet responding to queries on the non-use of Nigeria for the production of the reality TV show, DSTV disclosed that DSTV Nigeria does not have the capacity to host the show because they have “a fully equipped house in South Africa“.
The official handle of the DSTV stated that the house has already been in placed in the home country of the satellite TV which makes the production and transmission ‘easy’.
It also stated that apart from Big Brother Africa, previous editions for other African countries were also held at the same house in South Africa.
This will definitely not go down well with Nigerians.
