By Lawmaker representing Ikorodu Federal Consitituency in the House of Representatives, Babajimi Benson has encouraged Nigerians to vote for super kid actors, Ikorodu Bois, who bagged a nomination for the 2021 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards.
The internet sensation trio, known for mimicking multi-million dollar music videos, Hollywood movie trailers and epic pictures, was listed in the ‘Favourite African Social Media Star’ category — alongside kid comedian, Emmanuella Samuel of Mark Angel Comedy fame.
In a statement on Tuesday, Benson, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Defense, described Ikorodu Bois as “an extremely creative young set of talents,” adding that they have been projecting the name of Ikorodu, Lagos and indeed Nigeria, in the last couple of years.
“Only this month, the Ikorodu Bois, alongside lady comedian Emmanuella, were nominated for the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award Nomination. Personally, I think these young people deserve all the commendation and support to bring home the award. In a nation of over 200 million people, the fact that these young people were nominated speaks to the creative ingenuity of young minds in Nigeria,” the lawmaker stated.
He then asked Nigerians to vote for Ikorodu Bois via the official voting platforms: the KCA website and Twitter. “Let’s get them this award,” Benson said.
