By Another day has just gone by from the seven days given by Speaker of House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara to Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin on an alleged illegal budget padding scandal where the later named several lawmakers.
The former Committee chairman of Appropriation in the House had instead of apologizing to the lawmakers, submitted a supposed evidence to the EFCC, ICPC, DSS and the Nigeria Police Force earlier today. He said he was sure that was the first step in getting fraudulent lawmakers arrested.
Several hours after he visited the anti-graft agencies, the Kano lawmaker released another statement.
He said “What a day! Submitted petition against Corrupt Speaker Dogara and twelve others. Now it’s over to the security and anti corruption agencies”
In another tweet, he said “Going round ICPC, EFCC, DSS and NPF today, they clearly look already prepared for the cases. Iam confident they will be prompt and decisive”.
Since the principal officers are not immune from honoring invitations from the agencies and Police units, the big question is, will they be arrested after the submission of ‘evidence’ by Hon Jibrin.
