Newly elected Badagry LGA chair Appoints Personal Staff

The Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Hunpe-Adande Babatunde, has announced four key appointments aimed at strengthening his administration and boosting service delivery across the local government.

In a statement made public on Monday, Hon. Hunpe-Adande named Hon. Taiwo Towolawi as the new Chief of Staff.

Dr. Sewedo Olalekan Samuel has been appointed as Private Secretary, while Mr. Kriko Augustine will serve as the Chief Press Secretary.

Also joining the team is retired Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP Johnson Adagba, who has been appointed as Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to the Chairman.

The appointments, seen as part of efforts to reposition the council’s executive team, reflect a blend of administrative experience, professional competence, and security expertise.

Mr. Kriko Augustine, who shared the announcement via his official Facebook page, described the appointments as a move by the chairman to ensure “a focused and effective leadership team” that would support the delivery of the administration’s developmental goals.

Residents and political observers have welcomed the appointments with optimism, praising the chairman’s decision to bring on board individuals with proven track records in governance, communication, security, and public service.

Hon. Hunpe-Adande, a grassroots politician was recently elected as chairman for a second term and has promised improved infrastructure, youth empowerment, and responsive governance across Badagry Local Government.
