Nigerian celebrity DJ, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola who is better known as DJ Cuppy, has received two signed jerseys from Manchester United and ex-Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, Odion Ighalo.
The singed Jerseys were sent to her after she vowed that she would dump Arsenal as a supporter, for Manchester United, if Odion Ighalo should score a goal at last weekend’s FA cup game. The United striker scored one of the goals that saw Manchester United defeat Norwich 1-2 to qualify for the semi-finals of the FA Cup, where they will be meeting Chelsea.
Her tweet attracted a lot of attention, after it was liked by the handlers of the official Twitter page of Manchester United. But her move as a one time supporter of Arsenal, did not go down well with some of the Arsenal fans, who dragged her and the handlers of the social media account of Manchester United, for responding to her tweet. She had tweeted saying:
“As a Nigerian I think it’s only right that if @ighalojude scores a goal today… I will officially join @ManUtd as a fan! #FACup”
Manchester United replied her tweet saying:”Replying to@cuppymusic and @ighalojude Welcome aboard”
Fast forward to Tuesday afternoon, DJ Cuppy in what looks like her updating her fans on her tweet on dumping Arsenal for Manchester United, posted a photo of the two signed jerseys she received from Odion Ighalo, with a caption that reads:
“LOOK what just arrived in time for tonight’s game! @IghaloJude 🇳🇬⚽️ THANK YOU for the warm welcome to Man U! 🔴 #GGMU #ToCuppyThisRed” See her tweet:
