Media personality, Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu Wazobia, has filed a defamation lawsuit against activist Verydarkman, seeking ₦500 million in damages.
The lawsuit comes after Verydarkman made allegations about Nedu, accusing him of using his platform to sleep with women in exchange for helping them gain fame. Verydarkman also claimed that he had received information from Nedu regarding a threesome involving female celebrities Nons Miraj and Ashmusy, allegedly arranged in exchange for money.
In addition, Verydarkman accused Nedu of badmouthing several female celebrities, spilling personal secrets during a conversation they had.
The activist also released a 12-minute video on his YouTube page titled “How Nedu Diverted NGO Scholarship Meant for Nigerians,” which further escalated the situation.
Nedu’s legal team, along with Tokindrumz Picture and Media Ltd, clarified that the video contained defamatory and false statements about their client. They also emphasized that Nedu was not the owner of Tokindrumz but rather a talent associated with the brand.
As part of the lawsuit, Nedu’s legal representatives have demanded that Verydarkman remove all videos featuring Nedu from his platforms within 24 hours, issue a public apology, and pay ₦500 million in compensation for the reputational damage caused by the defamatory remarks.
