NASS Commission Appoints Acting Clerk

Despite claims by the immediate past Clerk of the National Assembly, Sani Omolori that the  National Assembly Commission lacks the legal rights to remove him, the Commission has appointed another person in acting capacity BlackBox Nigeria can report.

Ojo Amos Olatunde was appointed Acting Clerk by the National Assembly Commission on Friday after Omolori was served a query.

Olatunde is coming in to replace the retired former Clerk of the National Assembly, Sani Omolori.

Omolori was queried on Thursday by the National Assembly for refusing to retire as the clerk after completing his 35 years of service.

The former clerk was retired alongside 105 other senior officials of the National Assembly.
