Naira Marley, Zlatan and others are still in custody four days after their arrest

Four days after their arrest, music acts, Naira Marley and Zlatan Ibile are still in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Naira Marley who had in recent times been vocal in his support for internet fraudsters otherwise known as Yahoo boys was picked up on his birthday which was last Friday. He was picked up by the anti-graft agency alongside rapper, Zlatan and three others who were identified as Tiamiu Abdulrahman Kayode (Rahma Jago), Adewunmi Adeyanju Moses and Abubakar Musa at a Lekki resident early Friday morning.

BlackBOx Nigeria has however gathered that despite numerous interests in the matter the suspects are yet to be released since their arrest. The EFCC in a statement had earlier revealed that they were arrested in “connection with alleged case of internet fraud and money laundering.”

EFCC further disclosed that the arrested men were already cooperating by giving useful information about their “involvement in the alleged criminal activities.” The agency disclosed that investigation was ongoing while the entertainers were expected to be charged to court yesterday, Monday May 13, 2019.

However, many are still surprised about the continuous incarceration of the music acts while wondering why they haven’t been charged to court.
