A magistrate court sitting in Yaba area of Lagos State, has sent Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and his associate, Balogun Eletu, better known as Sam Larry, to 21 days in prison.
It was learnt that the court remanded them and others on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
The Lagos State Police Command had requested that Naira Marley and other suspects be remanded for 30 days pending the completion of their investigation.
Adeola Olatunbosun, the judge of the court, gave the order in a court sitting.
Following the mysterious death of Mohbad, controversial singer Naira Marley and socialite Sam Larry have been accused by netizens of frustrating and assaulting the late singer Mohbad when he was under the Marlian record label.
It had earlier been reported that the duo of Naira Marley and Sam Larry are in the police custody for investigations.
Recall that the popular singer died on Tuesday evening, September 12 after allegedly receiving an injection from a nurse in a private hospital in Lagos.
