The Federal Government has concluded plans to probe former Registrars of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board as the current Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede remitted N5bn in one year after assuming office.

This was announced by Finance Minister, Mrs Kemi Adeosun after the Federal Executive Council meeting at the Presidential Villa Abuja. She noted that the discrepancies in revenue remittance by the agency is poor and called for a probe of other heads.

The Minister revealed that the revenue remitted by the Oloyede administration was the highest in 40 years as the last head, Dibu Ojerinde remitted only N3m as his highest in a year.

She also revealed that former Heads of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) will be probed because of discrepancies in their remittance.

She however stated that other agencies with such discrepancies will be probed, but she failed to mention any of the agencies. She said the Government will commence with the probe so as to monitor remittance by all the agencies.
