Nigerian Afrobeats Singer and entrepreneur, Mr Eazi, has revealed that his music earnings alone could not have covered the cost of his wedding to actress Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola.
The music act made the disclosure while responding to an X user who claimed he was trying to recoup his wedding expenses with his new single, Cassanova.
“U think sey music go fit pay for that wedding my G? lol,” Mr Eazi replied.
Another user suggested that his earnings from 2018 could have easily funded the ceremony.
But the singer clarified that while he had a run of hits between 2017 and 2018, that period was actually his most financially challenging in nearly a decade.
“You got a point tho, but 2017-18 is the brokest I’ve been in the last 9 years! But all the music I put out then enter like mad sha, I’m really thankful,” he wrote.
Mr Eazi and Temi recently tied the knot in a private ceremony in Iceland, BlackBox Nigeria reports.
The couple, who got engaged in April 2022 in London, first met through Temi’s elder sister, DJ Cuppy, a close friend of the singer.
