Murder In Ekiti! Federal Commissioner Shot Dead in Ado (Viewer’s Discretion Is Advised)
It is not the best of times[tps_title][/tps_title] in Ekiti state as a serving commissioner at Federal Character Commission in Abuja, Bunmi Ojo, was yesterday shot dead on his way home in Ado-Ekiti.
The former students union leader and Personal Assistant to former Ekiti State Governor, Engineer Segun Oni, was reportedly shot by people suspected to be cultists while coming from a popular barbing saloon around Adebayo area in Ado.
Known to be a progressive, Bunmi Ojo, is said to always be on the look out for opportunities that will benefit Ekiti sons and daughters.
As at the time of this report, the Ekiti State Government is yet to make a public pronouncement on the unfortunate incident.
While many are insinuating the gruesome murder might be politically motivated. “This might just be an after shock of the last governorship election,” an Ekiti indigene resident in Lagos told BlackBox Nigeria.
