The flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP for the Lagos State House of Assembly, Ikorodu Constituency 1 , Mukaila Ajagun Lamina has promised to empower all in the Constituency if elected in the forthcoming 2019 polls.
He made this vow known as part of activities leading to the official campaign launch of the PDP hopeful. He called on all voters within the division to wake up and get actively involved in the polity.
Mukaila, while entertaining questions from media practitioners and community stakeholders in a social media engagement through “The Impact” WhatsApp group chat during the week, explained that it is time for Ikorodu to move past the years of poor legislative representation at the state level and tap into the lofty plans he is bringing on board.
“I intend to find a sustainable solution to our current challenges through youth-centered legislation and creating an inclusive atmosphere for young people to creatively express themselves.
Also empowering and fighting for the rights of our women/vulnerable, improving the welfare of our senior citizen and making our society conducive for the physically challenged will all be part of my legislative agenda for the Constituency.” He explained.
He further explained that every population distribution in the Constituency will be affected positively by his wind of change and that details of his agenda are enshrined in the Lamina Legislative Blue Print (LLBP) which will be made available to the public after his official launch and flag off campaign.
It would be recalled that Mukaila emerged from a peaceful primary election organized by the party at the state level.
The PDP candidate will slug it out in the 2019 polls with opponent like S.O.B Agunbiade, the candidate of the All progressive Congress (APC) who has occupied the position for 12 years.
