The ongoing National Sports Festival in Ogun State, Gateway Games 2.0, has witnessed an incredible display of strength and talent from a remarkable mother-daughter duo, Ronke and Florence Olarinoye.
Representing Lagos State, the pair has been making waves in the weightlifting competition.
Ronke has already claimed gold and silver medals in her snatch category, while her daughter Florence has won a silver medal in the 49kg weight category.
Their impressive performance has drawn attention to the remarkable Olarinoye family, known for producing talented weightlifters.
Interestingly, Ronke is the elder sister of Nigerian superstar weightlifter, Adijat Olarinoye, who won gold for Nigeria at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
The family’s passion for weightlifting is evident, and their achievements serve as an inspiration to aspiring athletes across the country.
