By The leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria on Saturday February 11th conferred Rivers State Governor, Barr Nyesom Wike the Apostle of Peace title for making the oil rich region the Most Peaceful State in the country.
The title was conferred after the Peace Rally conducted by the Christian body in Port Harcourt.
It was gathered that the Association led by the President, Samson Ayokunle were grateful to the Governor for all his supports in the past.
The conferment is coming days after Governor Wike promised to hand over the Ecumenical Centre being constructed by the State Government to the Association.
The Governor also promised to issue the Certificate of Occupancy by May this year.
It was also gathered that the Association pleaded with the government to hand over some schools and an hospital which were initially managed by the Baptist Mission.
CAN President, Mr Ayokunle was also grateful to the Governor for his gestures and support towards the actualisation of the Association’s goals and objectives.
