In what appears to be a rather unusual occurence, Ruth Kamande has been crowned the new beauty queen of Langata Maximum Prisons following a keenly contested pagaent in Nairobi, Kenya.
The new beauty queen BlackBox Nigeria learnt is awaiting trial for allegedly murdering her boyfriend but this isnt stopping her from showing her glamorous side in jail as she beay 19 others to emerge Miss Langata Prisons. 
She has also disclosed that she intends becoming a role model henceforth as her morale has been boosted by the win.
“My victory has boosted my morale despite the tough life inside here but I have learnt a lot. I will strive to be a role model to my colleagues here on remand,” Ruth disclosed in an interview.
The 21-year-old reportedly stabbed her boyfriend, Farid Ahmed 22 times when they engaged in a fight on September 22, 2015.
