Mimic sensation Ikorodu Bois to feature in Kunle Afolayan’s new movie

 

Nigerian internet sensation group, Ikorodu Bois are set to make their Nollywood debut in a new movie by leading filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan.

Taking to his Instagram page on Friday, the ace movie director made this known after he shared a video capturing moments the teenage stars arrived the movie set.

The untitled feature film, which is currently being shot in Oyo State, happens to be Afolayan’s third Netflix collaboration following the success of ‘Swallow’ and ‘A Naija Christmas’.

Revealed to be a remake of hit series ‘Game of Thrones’, the project features big names in movie industry such as Sola Sobowale, Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo), Fathia Balogun, Adebayo Salami, Kareem Adepoju (Babawande), among others.

Ikorodu Bois — formed of brothers Muiz Sanni, 15, and Malik Sanni, 10, as well as their cousin, 13-year-old Fawas — is known for remaking, mimicking and recreating multimillion-dollar music videos, movie scenes and movie trailers using ordinary household items.

Following their rise to prominence, the young skit makers were nominated for the 2021 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in the ‘Favourite African Social Media Star’ category. They, however, lost to Nigerian kid comedienne, Emmanuella.
