Fresh update has it that a yet to be identified couple and their pastors have been arrested by Cross Rivers COVID19 Task Force for holding a church wedding.

BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the incident happened in an unnamed Anglican Church in Calabar. It was learnt that the wedding service came to a premature end after it was stormed by the State’s Task Force officers.

On sighting the officers, members present at the programme ran out of the church leaving the new couple and officiating Pastors behind. Watch the video below…

 

It was gathered that Cross Rivers State like many other States across the country have banned all public gathering till further notice as the State continues to contain and control the spread of the dreaded coronavirus, COVID19. Cross Rivers, along with Kogi State remain the two States that’s yet to record a single case of COVID19 despite Nigeria having a total of 5,621 cases.

As at the time of filing this report, the fate of the arrested couple and pastors is unknown as the State is yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
