Manchester United continued their impressive revival under interim manager Michael Carrick with a 2–0 Premier League victory against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Saturday.
The Red Devils extended their winning streak to four matches in all competitions since Carrick took charge, reinforcing their bid for a top-four finish this season.
The turning point came in the 29th minute when Tottenham captain Cristian Romero was shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge, leaving Spurs with 10 men and facing an uphill battle.
United took full advantage of the extra player. Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring in the first half, and Bruno Fernandes sealed the win with a late goal, ensuring all three points stayed at Old Trafford.
The result leaves Manchester United firmly in the Champions League race, while Tottenham’s struggles continue, extending a poor run of results this season.
