Manchester United moments ago mourned the affected victims of the electrocuted viewing centre in Calabar on Thursday during the Europa match against Anderlecht.
Recall that BlackBox Nigeria broke the news of the ugly incident which occurred at the viewing centre located along Akpandem Street, Atimbo after a blog reader gave the tip off.
The English club used it’s Trinity statue, located outside the Old Trafford Stadium, their home tuff to mourn the victims.
“Our thoughts go out to the United fans, their friends and family affected by the tragedy in Calabar, Nigeria, yesterday,” the tweet read.
A reliable source in Calabar hinted BBN that a nearby transformer closed to the viewing centre had sparked before one of the high tension wires connected to it cut off the pole and landed on the building which housed football fans who had gone to watch the 2nd leg of Quarter Finals of 2016/17 Europa League.
