Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has revealed that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season when his contract expires.
De Bruyne, a 33 years old, has been an integral part of Manchester City’s success since joining the club from Wolfsburg in 2015.
During his 10-year stint, he has won an impressive 16 trophies, including six Premier League titles and the Champions League in 2023 but has never won player of the month before.
The Belgian midfielder has made 413 appearances for Manchester City across all competitions, scoring 106 goals.
His impressive stats and exceptional skill on the field have earned him widespread recognition as one of the greatest midfielders in Premier League history.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has praised De Bruyne, describing him as “one of the greatest midfielders to ever play in this country.”
In a heartfelt farewell message on X, De Bruyne expressed his gratitude to the club, city, and fans.
“Every story comes to an end, but this has definitely been the best chapter… This city. This club. These people… gave me everything. I had no choice but to give everything back! And guess what – we won everything.”
De Bruyne’s departure has sparked speculation about his next move, with rumors suggesting he may be heading to Major League Soccer or Saudi Arabia’s league.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, one thing is clear: Kevin De Bruyne’s legacy at Manchester City is appreciated, and he will always be remembered as a true legend of the club.
