In a rather surprising development, a Nigerian man, Ebube P. Mbonu has raised alarm following a theft at the hotel he donated to support the campaign of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.
Mbonu, a staunch supporter of the former Anambra State governor, made this known in a tweet on Monday.
According to him, a LCD TV was stolen from the open bar of the hotel which he gifted out to some volunteers of Obi’s campaign group to hold their meetings.
“From the hotel I donated to Peter Obi’s volunteers, a 32” LCD TV was stolen from the open bar last night. Still on still, it is still open as donated. A price must be paid for taking the country back,” he tweeted.

This development has since generated mixed reactions from Twitter users, especially supporters of the Labour Party flagbearer.
While some tweeps applauded Mbonu for his act of kindness and advised him to install a CCTV to avoid reoccurence of such incident. Others, however, argued that there was no such meeting by Peter Obi Volunteers, insisting that those who came to the hotel might be impostors.
