Man Accuses Kwara State Police PRO Of Collecting $2000, N115,000 For Unknown Crime
A Twitter user on Sunday revealed how a high ranking officer of the Kwara State Police Command allegedly collected huge sums of money and a mobile phone from him for an unknown crime.
According to the user, simply identified as Asiwaju, the Police Public Relations Officer in Kwara State, Mr Ajayi Okasanya allegedly collected 2,000$ cash from him, a Samsung mobile phone (model not disclosed) and also forced him to make a mobile transfer of N115,000 to an account provided by a junior officer.
Asiwaju made the disclosure while tweeting about the brutality being meted on innocent Nigerians by operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) all over the country. The campaign which have been on earlier gained momentum on Saturday, December 2nd after a yet-to-be-identified youth was shot in the head in Yaba area of Lagos. This development sparked heated conversations between Twitter users and the Police Complaints Response Unit.
In his tweet, Asiwaju disclosed that the incident happened on Friday, July 7th, 2017. He stated that the PPRO held him down till he parted with the cash, a transfer and his mobile phone. See below for the screenshot of transfer…
