A newly employed maid has been arrested after she drugged a couple and sold their baby to ritualists for ₦800,000 in the Owoduni area of Onipan, Lagos.
The information was obtained by BlackBox Nigeria through a Facebook post by one Princess Bola Olofin on Tuesday.
The househelp, who had only spent a week in the family’s home, drugged the couple three days ago, took their child, and sold the baby to ritualists.
Fortunately, the police apprehended the maid yesterday, and the baby was rescued this morning from the ritualists.
This alarming incident has raised concerns about the safety of families and the importance of thoroughly vetting domestic staff before hiring them.
The case serves as a stern warning for Nigerians to be vigilant and take necessary precautions when employing household staff, ensuring the protection of their loved ones from such sinister acts.
