The President of the Macarthy Youth Foundation and National Coordinator of the Progressive Imo Youths Forum, Bldr. Jerry Macarthy Kabiri, has urged the 27 National Health Fellows (NHF) from Imo State to consider themselves fortunate to be entrusted with the national assignment.

Kabiri made the call during a surprise visit to the training center for the NHF in Wuye, Abuja, where he addressed the Fellows and encouraged them to see this opportunity as a platform to contribute to the development and standardization of healthcare delivery, particularly in primary healthcare across Imo State.

According to Kabiri, the Presidency had instructed all stakeholders involved in the selection process to ensure that only the best of the best were chosen for the role.

He commended the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for launching this initiative, which not only engages youths as stakeholders in the health sector but also empowers them to lead, advocate, monitor, and evaluate healthcare services while applying their technical expertise to improve the system nationwide.

As a gesture of support, the Macarthy Youth Foundation provided assistance to the Fellows to help cover some of their personal logistics expenses.

The National Health Fellows program is a flagship initiative of the federal government aimed at strengthening the healthcare system in Nigeria by engaging young professionals in the health sector.

With this visit, Kabiri has demonstrated his commitment to empowering young leaders in Imo and promoting excellence in the health sector.
