Lukaku says he will never sign for Arsenal
Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku, has said he would “never” sign for Arsenal, following Chelsea’s 2-0 win over the Gunners on Sunday.
The former Inter Milan striker recently secured his return to Stamford Bridge, joining the Blues in a £97.5million deal.
The 28-year-old scored the first goal at the Emirates, before Reece James doubled the visitors’ lead.
After the match, Lukaku was asked by beIN Sports about Arsenal supporters who were calling for him to join the Gunners this summer.
But the Belgium striker smiled before he shook his head and replied, “Never. No chance.”
When asked about his performance against Arsenal in another interview, Lukaku said, “It is good to start like this, I worked hard throughout the week, we knew it was a big game and we did well.”
