The Lagos state Police Command, Sunday, said 1,872 violators of the restriction order have been arrested and charged to court in the last two weeks.
Blackboxnigeria gathered that 483 vehicles, 704 motorcycles and 73 tricycles were also impounded.
The suspects were charged to mobile courts by the Command’s legal team at the CID Yaba.
1,833 accused persons who pleaded guilty to the one count charge were convicted, as the remaining 39 pleaded not guilty.
The 483 impounded vehicles consist of 398 privately owned vehicles and, 85 commercial vehicles.
While 73 tricycles were impounded for violating the curfew order, 704 motorcycles were impounded for violating the suspension order on commercial motorcycle by the state governor, Babjide Sanwo-Olu.
