Popular Nigerian rapper Keshinro Ololade, better known as Lil Kesh, is recovering from severe injuries after being violently attacked in Lagos late at night on Wednesday.
His jewelry were reportedly carted away after the attack, leaving him helpless for survival.
Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants stabbed him in the neck, exposing part of his skin, and severed his ear.
The injured ear was later successfully stitched by medical personnel.
During the assault, the attackers allegedly dispossessed the musician of his jewelry before fleeing the scene.
The incident is suspected to have been carried out by armed assailants.
While the motive for the attack remains unclear, Lil Kesh is said to be receiving medical treatment as fans and fellow artists express shock and concern over his condition.
