…Says Anambra problems have gotten to the last bus-stop
Popular actor, Yul Edochie has declared his interest to contest for the Governorship position in Anambra state.
Apparently banking on the #NotTooYoungToRun platform, the actor who is also the son of legendary thespian, Pete Edochie has decided to run to make a difference in the developmental landscape of the state.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the ‘Royal King’ actor joined the race ahead of the November 18 polls in the state.
Before now, he was a known fan of incumbent governor, Willie Obiano who is also running for re-election but it came as a surprise when he declared his interest to run against him.
Asides Governor Willie Obiano, the immediate past Minister of Aviation under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, Osita Chidoka has also declared his interest after leaving the PDP for the United Progressive Party (UPP). Governor Obiano on the other hand remains in the All Progressive Grand Alliance while the new entrant, Yul hasnt unveiled the political platform he would be contesting on.
So far, BBN gathered Yul has embarked on an aggressive Social Media campaign focusing mainly on Instagram but little can be said about a proper campaign in the state.
In one of his posts, he revealed that “The problems of Anambra people have gotten to the Last Bus-stop”.
The election holds on November 18, 2017.
