Members of aviation unions early this morning got more than they can chew when they stormed the Headquarters of Arik Air in Lagos disrupting activities only to be immediately repelled by members of Staff who chanted uniformly sending off the crowd.
It was mild drama as the Unionists who claimed to be representing staff of the airline were protested against by the same workers who accused them of wanting to ground the airline.
In an online statement released by the Social Media Coordinator of the airline, Kayode Badmus, Arik Staff distanced themselves from the disruption.
He stated that no Staff of Arik was in support of the action which he tagged unnecessary.
He said, “Some members of the public under the guise of Aviation unions have again come to disrupt activities at the headquarters of Arik Air.
“Please note that no staff of Arik Air is in support of this unnecessary action.”
He also disclosed that staff of the airline are currently staging a protest to distance themselves from the unionists who stormed it’s office.
“Members of Staff are currently staging a counter protest to inform the so-called unionists to leave us alone.
“Leave Arik Air alone, all Arik Air staff have jointly clamored,” his statement read.
