Leader of Vigilante Group Ikorodu, Kamorudeen Bombata, Is Dead
The leader of Onyabo, a local vigilante in Ikorodu area of Lagos State, Chief Kamorudeen Bombata, is dead, BlackBox Nigeria can authoritatively report.
The local security expert has been sick for a while before succumbing to death in the early hours of today. The sickness BlackBox Nigeria gather was not unconnected with the sudden death of two of his children two years ago while returning from a wedding event on Third Mainland bridge.
Aside being a security person, Bombata who came from a musical family often lead orchestra on festival periods to the delight of fans.
Commiserating with the people of Ikorodu, youth advocate, Jimoh Hamzat (Ohun Ikorodu) said the Bombata death is a painful loss to the Ikorodu community.
“Chief Bombata lived a good life, he fought gallantly for Ikorodu. He lost sleeps so that we can sleep. Finally he has gone to rest.
“May God forgive him his shortcomings and grant his family, his friends and the entire Onyabo lieutenants the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” Hamzat wrote in his condolence message.
Also condoling with the people of Ikorodu, the socio-cultural youth group Ikorodu Ambassador, said “Words cannot even begin to express our sorrow. Our heart goes out to you and your family at this difficult time.”
