By Lawmaker, Lawan Tests Positive For COVID19
A lawmaker, Hon Lawan Nguru on Wednesday announced that his COVID19 test returned positive and has gone into isolation.
Lawan, a lawmaker representing Central Constituency in the Yobe State House of Assembly in a statement released in Yobe disclosed that he has tested to the respiratory disease and has gone into isolation as advised by health professionals.
Lawan’s test result is coming at the time several residents of Yobe have died with symptoms relating to that of the dreaded coronavirus.
A total number of 195 new cases were reported on Wednesday, May 6th by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 3145, while 534 have recovered from the virus, 103 persons have died.
