The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Education, Tokunbo Wahab has announced a 100% increment in the bursary for Lagos indigenes.

He disclosed this on Friday while speaking on the reduction in the tuition fees for fresh students of the state-owned institution, Lagos State University (LASU).

Wahab said for Lagos indigenes, ”their bursary has been increased from N25,000 to N50,000″ to cover new the school fees, adding that “Scholarships are also available for brilliant students.”

Recall BlackBox Nigeria reported on December 9 that the management of the University had hiked the tuition fees for fresh students from N25,000 to N67,048, which is about 168% increment.
