By The Department of Political Science, Lagos State University has collaborated with an advocacy group, Youth Initiatives for Advocacy Growth and Advancement (YIAGA) to conduct a study on youth participation in politics in Lagos State.
The commissioned research work is titled “Youth and Political Participation in Lagos State”. The research team is led by a renowned scholar and senior lecturer in the department, Dr. Abiodun Fatai-Abatan.
Other members of the team include three researchers — Jide Adigun, Babawale Adebanjo and Habibah Tijani.
For the sake of the study, a focus group discussion was held on Saturday at the Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group (IDRDG) Conference Room, Ikorodu Town Hall in the Ikorodu area of Lagos.
The discussion featured selected youths across political, media and community development spaces who contributed their thoughts to the subject matter.
