Nine individuals who graduated from the Faculty of Law at Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, Lagos, have been appointed as judges in the Lagos High Court.
Among them are Hon. Justice Sunmonu Tunde Bashiru, Hon. Justice Alebiosu Olawale Lawal, Hon. Justice Anjorin-Ajose Tanimola Abdulwaheed, Hon. Justice Muyodeen Abdul-Raheem Tejumade, Hon. Justice George Alfred Akingbola, Hon. Justice Balogun Adegboyega Ganiu, Hon. Justice Badejo-Okusanya Yewande Jokotola, Hon. Justice Ojuromi Nalirat Olayinka Oluwatosin, and Hon. Justice Adewale Russel Musiliu.
Their appointment as part of the recent thirteen judges into the Lagos State High Court marks a historic achievement, representing the highest number ever selected from the university at any one time.
In congratulating the new judges, Vice Chancellor Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello lauded their dedication, hard work, and contribution to the legal profession, citing the strong foundation of excellence laid by the Faculty of Law at LASU as a catalyst for their success. She urged them to maintain integrity and serve with a sense of duty to justice and the community.
